Soyou is a South Korean singer and actress. She is best known as a member of the South Korean girl group Sistar.

Soyou was a Cube Entertainment trainee before debuting with Sistar and was originally supposed to debut as a member of 4Minute. Soyou replied that she didn’t make it into the group because she was lacking in many ways. She was originally supposed to be in Sohyun’s place. Instead, Soyou auditioned for Starship Entertainment, singing a cover of Navi's "On The Road", and debuted as a member of SISTAR.

On February 1, 2014 it was revealed that Soyou and JunGiGo would release a duet called 'Some'. It was released online as a digital single on February 7, 2014.
The song debuted at number 1 for two weeks on South Korea's Gaon Singles Chart. The song was also number 1 on for six weeks on Korea K-Pop Hot 100. The feat makes the smooth R&B track the tally's longest-running chart topper of 2014.
