Rania debuted with 8 members in 2011. They garnered a lot of attention due to their risque debut music video, Dr Feelgood.
They received more attention in 2015 with the addition of Alex, the first African American woman to be a member of a kpop group.
They underwent major member changes and became "BP (Black Pearl) Rania" in December 2016.
When Alexandra Reid left the group in 2017, the name was reverted to Rania.
In 2020 they rebranded as Blackswan with the new song "Tonight".
