Hyolyn is a South Korean singer and actress. She is best known as a member of South Korean girl group Sistar and their sub-unit Sistar19.
Hyolyn auditioned for JYPE two times, and was finally accepted at the second try placing 1st place at the audition. She was set to debut in a project group with Secret's Jieun, EXID's Hani, and Bestie's Uji, but the plans were cancelled abruptly.#2 Hyolyn then left JYPE and joined Starship Entertainment, auditioning with a cover of Christina Aguilera's Hurt.
Hyolyn made her solo debut on November 26, 2013 with the album Love & Hate. The album consists of double title tracks 'Lonely' and 'One Way Love' with tracks from producers including Brave Brothers and Kim Do Hoon.
